Neon Sleep

This was the first time i have had the pleasure of hanging with these boys in NZ, after partying with them in London and Belgium in '07. Pedro Winter, Head of Ed Banger Rec. and manager to Daft Punk is walking proof you can achieve whatever you set your mind to. It was good to see them and we chatted about many important things:

NS: If you had a giant pinata that you threw into the crowd as part of your stage show , what would be in it?

P+M: Money and condoms, and some alcohol. I think it could be a pretty wild party you know? No wait forget about it. If I had a pinata I would not put anything special in it, I would use what the Mexicans are doing the best with all the confetti. The trick is to have a funny shape, like a giant Bart Simpson.

NS: if there was a LORD OF THE RINGS PARTY who would you dress as?

P:  Ah I am a loser. I dont know anything about Harry Potter, L.O.T.R. Its the same no? I would be the little ugly one. Gollum? Yes Gollum!

M: I will be King.

NS: if there was a New Zealand theme party, what would you dress as?

P: I would dress as Ladyhawke. 

M: I'll be Jonah Lomu. 

NS: Tell me about the first time you can remember playing/performing to an audience?

P: Me it was in '99 , I played at a suprise party when I was a kid, on a cassette player, and I was so excited. I remember playing my fav song at the time which was 'What is love" from Deee Lite, and I was in love with this girl, and she was going out with the tennis teacher. Bastard! 

 NS: best NYE?

P: Last year we ended up in L.A on the rooftop of a hotel at 11 in the morning, which is extremely rare for me because I usually go to bed quite early. So I came back to my hotel at like eleven and was like 'WOW, I'm crazy!' and in fact i think its the life of most of the kids today, but for me it was extreme. 

NS: what would you put on a BBQ? a) saus b) sanga c) banga d) wanga

P: All of the above

M: Wanga

NS: Pedro, Busy P stands for: a) Busy Pants? b) Busy Pudding? p) busy Pinata? 

P: Penis. Of course.Everybody knows about that. No No lets talk seriously. I am a lover you know, and all this about penis and condoms, its not me (haha). i have friends who are like this. My girlfriend is calling me Pudding sometimes so Busy Pudding it is.

P: So do you come to Cellar stage later on? We have a thing on the Ed Banger squad we like to call 'back stage - on stage", (spits) ola sorry I spit! So lets go for a walk...
